 What Is Breathwork?

Breathwork is the mindful art of working with your breath to shift your physical, emotional, and mental state. By becoming aware of, and adjusting your breathing patterns, you can create meaningful change in how you feel and function. This practice integrates a variety of deep and powerful breathing techniques to achieve different purposes. These techniques include deep diaphragmatic breathing, interval breathing, embodiment breathing, connected breathing, and others.

Rooted in both ancient traditions and supported by modern science, breathwork is a powerful yet accessible tool for well-being. Whether your goal is to find calm, boost vitality, or access deeper layers of healing, your breath is a constant and reliable ally.

 My Breathwork Sessions

I use and teach different types of breathwork. In each session, I combine various techniques to guide you into a deep state of awareness that supports the results you’re seeking. Most of the time, I guide you through deep diaphragmatic circular breathing, which helps you release repressed emotions, unblock stored energy, and gain clarity, among other benefits. This facilitates the movement of stagnant energy and allows you to connect with your inner wisdom.

Each session also includes a relaxation and visualization segment. This experience offers you clarity, deep relaxation, and a profound connection with your body and inner world.

Deep diaphragmatic breathing has also been proven to connect unconscious (bottom-up) and conscious (top-down) brain processes, offering access to parts of the nervous system not usually under conscious control.

I offer these services in person, or from the comfort of your own home through video call.

We live in a fast-paced society that often discourages emotional expression.

Here, you find a safe space to release what you’ve been holding inside.

This is an opportunity for you to tune into your inner wisdom,

process emotions, release tension and restore balance

all while remaining fully present and in control of your experience.

The Benefits

During Your Session

Before the session begins, I set the space and guide you into a mind-body connection, creating a safe and supportive environment.

Once grounded, you’ll lie comfortably on your back and engage in deep-diaphragmatic connected breathing. I will guide you with evocative music, emotional cues and words, and motivational messages tailored for your session.

This process helps oxygenate every cell in your body and stimulates the release of deeply held emotions. Passing beyond simple relaxation, you’ll reach a flow state that brings you greater clarity. This is the work of breathwork.

Through this process, you can rewire limiting neural pathways, break self-sabotaging patterns, and unblock your creativity.

I also use other breathing techniques to guide you into a relaxation state where you will integrate your experience, create new intentions, and connect deeply with a sense of gratitude and bliss.

After your first breathwork session, I’ll be able to assess what other breathing techniques you can add to your daily self-care practices. This work will be tailored to your needs, combining breathing exercises with embodiment practices to regulate your nervous system.

Duration:

Our initial session lasts 120 min, then each additional session is 90 minutes long, as follows:

  • 30 minutes to explore your intention and gain clarity on what’s ready for support or transformation
  • 30 minutes of active breathwork using the 3-part breathing pattern, guided and accompanied by music
  • 15 minutes to ground, rest, and integrate the experience in your body
  • 15 minutes for reflection, follow-up insights, and personalized aftercare tools
  • You lay down and breathe, it’s as simple as that!

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQ)

ARE THERE DIFFERENT TYPES OF BREATHWORK?

Yes. Throughout history, many cultures have used breath as a tool for healing. There are many techniques with different breathing patterns depending on the outcome you’re seeking. My sessions primarily focus on circular diaphragmatic breathing, and I may also guide you through other breathing patterns. There are many methods and names for each, but because every person is unique, the best way to know which breathwork style resonates with you is by experiencing it.

WHAT DO I NEED TO DO TO PREPARE FOR MY SESSION?

You’ll need a quiet space where you can lie down without interruptions, a blanket, a pillow or cushion, an eye mask , a bottle of water, and headphones for a more immersive sound experience. It’s also helpful to have a journal nearby in case you’d like to write down reflections after the session. Sessions are held via Zoom, so please ensure your software is up to date on your device.

IS EVERY SESSION THE SAME?

The structure may appear similar, but no two sessions are ever the same. Each time you practice, your body, emotions, and energy are in a different state. Your breath always guides you to what you need most in that moment. It’s a living, adaptive process.

CAN BREATHWORK FEEL INTENSE OR UNCOMFORTABLE?

It’s completely normal to feel some discomfort or strong emotions. However, you are in control at all times and can adjust the pace of your breathing based on what your body allows. Breathwork helps you move through those moments with more courage and support. At the end of the session, I guide you through an integration phase so you can return to your day feeling grounded.

Do you offer virtual sessions?

Yes, I offer online sessions so you can experience the practice from the comfort of your home. You just need a calm space without interruptions where you can move freely and express yourself without judgment.

CAN I PRACTICE BREATHWORK ON MY OWN?

If you’re just starting out, it’s important to have professional guidance, as deep emotions or memories may arise. A facilitator provides safety, structure, and support. Once you have more experience, you can integrate gentle, conscious practices into your personal routine.

WHAT BENEFITS CAN I EXPECT FROM CONSCIOUS BREATHING?

The benefits vary for each person but often include increased mental clarity, emotional release, reduced stress, a sense of lightness, deeper self-connection, gratitude, and improved physical well-being. Many people also report better sleep, enhanced creativity, and greater alignment in their decision-making. The benefits are truly vast.

WHAT IF I DON’T FEEL ANYTHING DURING THE SESSION?

Trust that you will always feel something—and it will be exactly what you need in that moment. Your breath supports your healing process. This practice is about opening a space for listening and presence. Even the quietest sessions can lead to profound shifts over time.
